ranked choice voting came up as a ballot measure in MA a while back and here i was under the impression that it went through and i was just waiting for it to be implemented (it has taken until now for me to actually confirm that no, it was voted down) which is... such a bummer honestly. i fully agree it's something we really need, and hell, even if it does choke out whole parties from elections, they shoulda worked harder rather than rely on the default of having one guaranteed candidate!

i really appreciate your takes- both on politics and in general, by the way, i was meaning to tell you this on cohost but i feel like you have a lot of perspective on things built on, like, both practicality and idealism. it's very swag imo. i hope someday i'll have enough knowledge to fully understand the politics you write about
