brief preface: the Cohost Union News section of the site is up, if you haven't seen that; updates are now being made to it (and i'm slowly working on converting the archive). check it out—it also has a separate RSS feed from the rest of the site.
anyways
it is very tiring to run a website of any kind. i know this with Beehaw because i am a co-founder and administrator of; now i know this is the case with building a website. i would probably call this the most hectic two weeks of my year so far—which has included a lot of hectic moments. needless to say this has been quite draining.
luckily, i think we're now beyond the worst of this. between Chrome and Firefox, my open number of tabs has hovered at probably fifty or more this week, versus my usual 20-ish. but i've been able to consolidate the tabs i have significantly now that things are stabilizing a bit; i'll now be posting between about five or six websites at a time, but that seems... reasonably manageable, since most of them share formatting. i'm hoping to get some reading in today, and i finally have time to start posting back to Beehaw again.
i am collecting links for the next Cohost Union News post. i might settle into a rhythm of every other day as feasible, we'll see.

Date: 2024-09-17 01:39 am (UTC)"build your own website" is the cohost version of "learn to code" and not everyone has the energy/skill/desire to do that, hats off to you for being able to put something together regardless. it's looking really great!
